Heat helps too if you have a hot compress. However, if you are running a slight fever then it might be bacterial and you may need an antibiotic. Here's a homeopathic remedy that I know actually DOES work--didn't have to google it or anything ;)--a few drops of warm garlic oil in each ear. The warm oil relieves pain and garlic is a natural germ-eater. Best of luck!
